Brittney (Markowski) Christy, formerly of Boothbay Harbor, was honored by the Houston Business Journal during its second annual “Women to Watch” ceremony held Oct. 26.
Christy is a marketing and recruiting manager at Spirit Environmental LLC. According to the Houston Business Journal’s event program, featuring the women who were honored, it published the following on Christy:
“In 2014, Brittney Christy joined Spirit Environmental in a marketing and recruiting role that had always been filled piecemeal by various engineers and scientists on staff. Since then, she has overhauled the marketing and branding of the firm, which led to significant growth and industry recognition. Her branding efforts have been so effective that Spirit is now seen as employer of choice by prospective employees. Christy’s high visibility in the industry, despite working in the environmental field for less than five years, led to one colleague to comment, “I cannot go anywhere without her running into several people that stop us to greet her.’”
Christy graduated from Boothbay Region High School and Lynn University in Florida.
