Another year and another last Sunday cook-off at Brady's. This year's culinary choice was mac & cheese. Nine contenders battled it out as the five judges took their time scoring taste, texture, and overall deliciousness with the final winner declared to be Earl Brewer and James Merrill with a 7-cheese and pork belly burnt ends combo!
People's Choice was awarded to Chef Super Dave Warford with a honey chicken mac and cheese. Both awards came with the Golden Cheese Grater Trophy, bragging rights for the year, and an invitation to next year’s event!
Judges this year were Larry Knapp, Troy Plummer, Kathy Boyd, Clayton Pottle and head judge (his Olympic judge experience makes him head judge!) Elliott Schwartz.
Attendees had an absolute ball and all the contestants had been trash talking for weeks. Great fun!
Next year's cook off has been determined to be lasagna! Start planning people!
