BRES students jumping rope to help hearts

Sun, 04/30/2017 - 8:00am

On Tuesday, May 2, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Boothbay Region Elementary School students from grades 2 through 8 who have collected donations for the American Heart Association will participate in the Jump Rope for Heart event. Jumpers will swing their ropes in the BRES gym during family night at the Spring Book Festival to demonstrate how important exercise is to maintain a healthy heart, as well as how important it is to help others. The top three fundraisers will participate in the BRES all-school assembly on the last day of school (June 20), and will play a funny trick on Principal Mark Tess, Assistant Principal Tricia Campbell, and one other teacher.
