    Dear Editor:

I want to thank all for making our first fundraiser so successful.

My special thank you goes to the following companies that supplied us with all the food for us to cook for the barbecue, which raised over $10,000: Pinkham’s Gourmet Market, Target, Sam’s Club, Emery’s Meat and Produce, Dunton’s Doghouse, Brady’s, Curtis Meats, Bisson’s Meat, Hannaford, Boothbay Harbor House of Pizza, Weston Meats, Shaw’s, Goggins IGA, Main Street Grocery in Damariscotta, Trader Joe’s, B & M Baked Beans, Wyman Berry Company and Boothbay Lobster.

The tables and chairs were supplied by American Legion Post 36, Boothbay Railway Village Museum, Rockland Elks, Thomaston American Legion, Legion Post 20, Mid Coast Veterans Council and Spruce Point Inn.

Tents were supplied by Ralph Smith and William Demmons. All the paper good, utensils and take out boxes were supplied by Big Al.

Pepsi supplied the soft drinks and gave us a cooler for the event.

The Volunteer Jazz Band supplied the great music.

Additional parking was provided by Boothbay Self Storage and A/C Mid Coast Storage.

Lastly, I wish to thank all the men and women that volunteered to help our cause. I feel greatly blessed, for without these people, this function could not have happened.

My heartfelt thanks for all of this overwhelming support for our homeless veterans.

    Ed Harmon, president
