Boothbay football snatched victory from the jaws of defeat Friday, when a last second touchdown pass lifted the Seahawks over Class C John Bapst, 15 to 12, at Sherman Field. The Crusaders were on course to their first win in a couple seasons. But a failed fourth down and one attempt from their own 23 yard line with 27 seconds to go gave Boothbay one last chance to win and, on the final play, quarterback Hunter Crocker scrambled around long enough to find wing back Mike Hollowell in the end zone with a game-winning touchdown pass.

Boothbay is 2-2 and hosts Sacopee Valley at 7 p.m. Friday,  Sept. 28.
