Boothbay shuts out Carrabec
The Boothbay Region High School boys tennis team improved to 6-1 on the season with a 5-0 win at home Wednesday, May 17 over the Carrabec Cobras. The visitors forfeited the two doubles matches due to players also playing baseball, according to BRHS Coach Mark Gorey.
Boothbay is seeded second in Class C South and Carrabec, now 3-2, is seeded first, according to Maine Principals’ Association latest Heal point standings on Thursday, May 18. Waynflete, a usual top contender, is in third place at 8-2 and Spruce Mountain is in fourth place with a 6-2 record.
“It would have been nice to have played the doubles matches in a tune-up for the playoffs,” said Gorey.
