The Boothbay Region Lions Club met for a regular meeting March 11.We enjoyed various  appetizers provided by the members attending.

We have received quite a few pairs of used eyeglasses and cell phones over the past couple of months, the latest being a large number from the office of Drs. Michelle Bouchard and John McCormick in Damariscotta. We currently have two drop-off locations in Boothbay Harbor for anyone wishing to donate used eyeglasses, hearing aids, or cell phones: the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and in the entryway to the Community Health Center and Community Center.

Maine Lions District 41 will be holding its annual convention in Bar Harbor May 1-3.  There is a great weekend planned.

The Boothbay Region Lions Club will be supporting the newly formed Girl Scout Daisy Troop #1241 with materials.

Our next meeting will be March 25 with guest speaker David Patch from the American Legion Post 36.
