The Boothbay Region Lions Club met for a regular meeting Jan, 23. The kitchen crew served a tasty meal as usual.

Since our last meeting, we have received one request for assistance with purchasing eye glasses.

Our CLYNK bottle collection is going well. The money collected over the ensuing months will go toward establishment of a scholarship fund for a high school student. Please contact a Lions member if you would like to help with this effort.

We also continue to receive donations in memory of Steve Branch, which have been greatly appreciated.

We will be having a speaker from New Hope for Women at our meeting on Feb. 27, and a fish chowder supper is being planned for some time in February — date to be announced later.

We are always looking for new members. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the club house on Lakeview Road at 6 p.m.
