Courtesy of Bob Crink The Boothbay Region Health Center extends profound appreciation to Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences for hosting our well attended Brain Health Forum on Aug. 17. Special thanks go to Valerie Young, chief of staff, Abby Jones, administrative assistant, and Joe Ambrosino, IT specialist, whose cheerful, calm presence kept our jitters at bay. I also want to thank the many members of our Brain Health program who provided delicious, brain healthy snacks. I want to apologize publicly for not getting the correct Zoom link. I know many people tried and failed to participate via Zoom. Join us on Sept. 19 at Hats for Health at Mine Oyster
Every year, the party gets better! Join us for the 4th annual Hats for Health benefit on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mine Oyster.
Enjoy food, live music and dancing with the School Street Band, a silent auction, a cash bar, and prizes for the most creative hats—all while supporting accessible, independent family healthcare in the Boothbay region. Your $75 admission includes heavy hors d'ouevres, live music by the School Street Band, dancing, and participation in the hat contest. Cash bar and silent auction purchases are additional. All your purchases support your community Health Center!
You may purchase tickets at the door, but space is limited. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Boothbay Region Health Center (185 Townsend Ave, Boothbay Harbor) or Hawke Motors (203 Townsend Ave). Or you can buy them online at EventBrite (Search for Hats for Health Boothbay Harbor). The proceeds of the ticket sales will Benefit the Health Center, so it's a great way to support keeping great family care local while enjoying an evening with friends and neighbors from you community, as well as the Health Center staff and board members.
Keep the Music Going! After Hats for Health ends at 8 p.m., head downstairs at Mine Oyster for the separately ticketed Motor Booty Affair Disco Band performance. Tickets may sell out, so reserve yours early. Those $20 tickets are also available on EventBrite. Search Mine Oyster events or Motor Booty Affair.
