Boothbay Region Garden Club
Join the members of the Boothbay Region Garden Club on Wednesday, Oct. 11 for our monthly meeting. Our speaker this month is Irene Barber from the wonderful Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens presenting on "Therapeutic and Accessible Gardens." Designs and tools to decrease the physical challenges of gardening.
We will meet at the beautiful St Columba's Episcopal Church, 32 Emery Lane, Boothbay Harbor. The meeting will start at 12:30 p.m. for tea, business meeting at 1, followed by our speaker, Irene Barber.
We are collecting gently used Christmas decorations, trees, cards, dinnerware, just about anything to repurpose and sell at our Holiday Festival on Dec. 1 and 2. Please bring these donations to the October meeting. The Holiday Festival proceeds help support the many projects of the Garden Club including camp and college scholarships for local students, providing holiday wreaths in the winter and window boxes in the summer for all public buildings on the peninsula. We also maintain the gardens around the Civil War statue, the Amilliary Garden and a garden at the Southport Library.
If you're interested in gardening, crafting or just want to meet an interesting and fun group of people we welcome new members. FMI: visit our website at boothbayregiongardenclub.org
