Boothbay Region Food Pantry open March 27

Mon, 03/23/2020 - 7:45am

The Boothbay Region Food Pantry, located at 125 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor, will be open as usual on Friday, March 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Future evening pantries on the second Monday of each month are suspended for now.

Clients whose regular day for monthly pick-up, new clients, and anyone in the region who has a food emergency are welcome.

This week you will be given a grocery list to fill out and we will do our best to supply you from what is on our shelves. We, like yourselves, are having a harder time buying food.

When you arrive, please get a copy of the grocery list placed outside the pantry, fill out all information from your car and return it to the other marked box. If you are not by or inside your car, no food will be brought outside. Safety for all of us is paramount! Please bring someone to lift the box from the cart for you, if necessary. Families new to the pantry should also fill out the provided intake form.

Those of you who are ill or physically unable to get to the pantry will get your food delivered. Please, if you have family or friends to pick up for you, that would help all of us out. Otherwise we expect to hear from you!
The practice of all families being able to come to the pantry at 1:15 for leftover food is also suspended.

Stay tuned for future changes to our operations that may occur to keep us safe.

We are here for you, as best as we can during these unchartered times, not seen in greater than a half century. Our number is 207-350-2962.
