Boothbay property tax bills

Dear Editor:
Hello, Boothbay resident seniors!
How do you like your 2024 property tax bill? Mine, and many others I know, went up 23% from 2023. You can thank your Maine legislators for getting rid of the Maine resident senior property tax freeze, supposedly, because it was too difficult for town officials to figure out who was eligible for it.
That was not a valid excuse! What can we do about this? I don’t know.
