Boothbay nominations are in

    Nomination papers for Boothbay seats closed on March 5 and three candidates are running for two selectmen’s seats.

    Six seats, all three-year terms, will be up for election this cycle: two selectmen, one Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD School Committee member, one BB-BBH CSD Trustee, one Boothbay Region Water District Trustee and one BB-BBH Cemetery District Trustee.

    Incumbent Mike Tomacelli will be running to keep his seat in a three-way contest for the two selectmen’s seats. The other candidates are former board chair Chuck Cunningham and Stephen Ham. Incumbent Kristina Ford is not running.

    Steve Edwards, Abigail Jones and Kathleen Pearce are running for the BB-BBH CSD School Committee seat. No one submitted papers for  BB-BBH CSD Board of Trustees. Incumbents Kari Babcock and Ashleeann Lowery are not running. BRWD incumbent Kevin Anthony is running unopposed to keep his seat and Sara Fahnley is running unopposed for BB-BBH Cemetery District Trustees.

    Elections will be by ballot on Monday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the town office.
