After a torrential rain and windstorm Nov. 15 and 16, Peter Branch surveyed the aftermath at his Bufflehead Cove property. Around 10 a.m., he saw a large float perched ashore on the Sheepscot River property. A few moments later, he saw another large float meandering along toward the bridge near Hodgdon Island, Boothbay.
“If anyone is looking for a lost float, I wanted to let them know where it is. If it’s a summer person’s, they probably don’t know it’s missing,” he said.
Branch has contacted the Boothbay town office about the missing float’s location.
