Tomorrow, Tuesday April 8, is Fellowship Night at 4:30 p.m. at Port’s Pizza. Just a relaxed fun time, no agenda, no speaker, just hanging out and visiting with one another. We're a very diverse, interesting group and it's always fun to get to know one another on Fellowship Nights.  Thank you to Linda Clapp and the Membership Committee for planning this.

Last Thursday our own Patty Seybold and Doug Lockwood talked about their recent trip to Uganda to visit the Rural Uganda Development and Training Institute (AFPF) and the African Rural University.  We heard about how these amazing institutions have empowered girls and women to move their families and their whole villages from poverty to middle class using local knowledge and resources.  Tuition for each girl is $1000.00/yr, which is not affordable to these families.  So, it is provided by donations and other funds raised.  Our “almost new” member, Alex Rioux donated $100 right then to AFPF.  If you would also like to support this project just send a check made out to AFPF to Patty Seybold. 

This Thursday is the annual Rotary BRHS Interact Spaghetti Dinner. Hooray!

Our amazing Interact Club is holding their annual Spaghetti Supper starting at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse. Come join us for this fun night with the High School Interact Club members. They are a joy to watch. It will do your heart good. Takeout is available as well. 

The rain held off for the Grand Reopening of the Big, Gray Rotary Barn last Saturday, a definite sign of spring. It was great to see all our old friends and welcome new ones too. Thank you everyone who came out to help support the work of the Club. 

One of the organizations we donate to from the money raised at the Big, Gray Rotary Barn is the amazing Partners For World Health. PWH collects overstocked, used, unneeded medical equipment, which it repurposes and ships around the world to organizations in need. We are taking a field trip to PWH in Portland on Saturday, April 19 after the Rotary Barn closes. Join us if you can. You'll be amazed to visit their warehouse and see all they accomplish. Contact Irene if you wish to attend.
