Boothbay Harbor police arrested two women on drug charges, one at a private residence and the second in a parked automobile.

On Monday, Oct. 26, Officer Devin Polizzotti arrested Heather Manson, 32, of Boothbay Harbor, for violation of bail conditions and possession of a Schedule W drug (morphine).

Manson was arrested earlier in 2015 and charged with three counts unlawful possession of a scheduled drug and violation of bail conditions in Augusta.

On Sunday, Nov. 1 at about 3 a.m., Polizzotti observed a woman slumped over the center console of a vehicle parked in a commercial parking lot on Townsend Ave. Polizzotti suspected a medical problem but upon further investigation determined Jacqueline Frey, 36, of Newcastle, was intoxicated and in possession of a Schedule W drug (cocaine). Polizzotti arrested Frey for drug possession and on Nov. 2 obtained a search warrant for the vehicle. In the search, police allegedly found another schedule W drug (heroin) and drug paraphernalia. Frey was also charged with possession of heroin.

Frey had previously been convicted of a similar crime earlier in the year. She was found asleep in her car in 2014 at an Augusta Best Buy. She was sentenced to two years in prison with all but 10 days suspended and two years of probation in Kennebec County Superior Court in March 2015.

Both women were transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail.
