Tue, 03/03/2020 - 4:30pm

Nomination papers for Boothbay Harbor seats are closed as of March 2. Seven seats, all three-year terms, are up for grabs this cycle: two selectmen, one Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD School Committee member, one BB-BBH CSD Trustee, one Boothbay Region Water District Trustee, one BB-BBH Cemetery District Trustee and one Boothbay Harbor Sewer District Trustee.

Incumbents for all but the CSD seats have returned papers to run in unopposed elections: Select board vice chair Tricia Warren, Selectman Denise Griffin, BB-BBH Cemetery District Trustee Ralph Welch, BHSD Trustee Sam Morris and BRWD Trustee David Tibbetts.

Ruth Macy and Tom Minerich returned papers for the CSD School Committee, a seat held by Larry Colcord for over a decade. Minerich was also the only resident to take out papers for the CSD Trustee seat, currently occupied by chair Richard Hallinan, but Minerich did not return them.

Elections are May 1 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The annual town meeting is at 9 a.m. May 2 in the Boothbay Region Elementary School gymnasium.
