Boothbay Harbor nomination papers due March 6

Two incumbents are seeking re-election to Boothbay Harbor municipal offices. Town Clerk Michelle Farnham said Selectman Denise Griffin has returned her nomination paper and is seeking another three-year term. Boothbay Harbor Water District Trustee David Tibbetts is still circulating his nomination paper. As of Jan. 31, no other candidates had taken out nomination papers.

Besides Griffin and Tibbetts, expiring terms are as follows: Tricia Warren, selectman; Richard Hallinan, Community School District trustee; Susan Hochstein, Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor Cemetery District; Russ Hoffman, Boothbay Harbor Sewer District. A Community School District superintending committee seat is vacant and the term expires in May. 

All offices are for three-year terms. Nomination papers became available Jan. 25 and are due March 6, Farnham said. The municipal election is on Friday, May 5. The town meeting is on Saturday, May 6.
