The Boothbay Region High School girls varsity basketball team finally got its regular season underway Thursday night and it wasted no time showing fans its talent.

At Mt. Abram, the Lady Seahawks were never challenged as they went on to easily defeat the Roadrunners, 67-16.

Boothbay led at every quarter break, 12-3, 33-9 and 48-14.

After two postponements to start the season, the Lady Seahawks are now 1-0 and will host Madison on Saturday, Dec. 13, Wiscasset on Monday, Dec. 15 and travel to Bethel to face Telstar on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
