The Seahawks fell from the ranks of the unbeaten on Friday night in Dixfield as the Dirigo Cougars won a battle of momentum swings to come out on top 73-66.

Leading by as many as six in the third period after a pair of John Hepburn baskets, the Seahawks had too many open possessions caused by unforced turnovers. The back breaker for Boothbay came at the end of the third period when the Cougars hit back-to-back three-pointers to take a five-point advantage into the final period. An 8-2 run to open the fourth gave Dirigo a seemingly comfortable eleven-point lead but the Seahawks continueed to battle and eventually cut the lead to four with 1:17 left but could get no closer.
