Blueberry Pines Bed and Breakfast will host a Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will take place at the bed and breakfast, located at 43 Montgomery Road in Boothbay Harbor. Take Route 96 to Montgomery Road (just behind the Meadow Mall), #43 is on the right just beyond the first white house, only a short drive down a wooded lane.

Owning a bed and breakfast has been a long-time dream for Peggy Keegan, who opened Blueberry Pines after ten years of planning. Located at 43 Montgomery Road, Blueberry Pines is unique to the area, according to Keegan. Perched on top of a rolling hillside, the 4,000-square-foot house features three bedrooms (which will expand to five in the future), a deck, sun room and spacious living area. Down the hill in front of the house is a fenced, Olympic-sized in-ground pool with a large pond next to it, where duck families live and a great blue heron enjoys the plentiful fish. Blueberry Pines is perfect for families, and children are welcome. Guests will enjoy a continental breakfast with their stay, and the inn will be open year-round.

During the Business After Hours, all three guest rooms along with the common areas will be available for viewing. There will be light fare available, including finger food and pastry, along with wine, beer, tea, coffee, and punch. Attendees are encouraged to bring their business cards to be entered into a drawing to win one of several door prizes, including a pair of round trip tickets on the Amtrak Downeaster. Please note that due to space and parking restrictions, this Business After Hours is limited to 40 guests, so please RSVP to the Chamber ahead of time.

The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours are open to members and non-members and everyone from the business community is encouraged to participate.
