Blood drive successful

The Lincoln County Board of REALTORS recently held its annual meeting at the 1812 House in Bristol. Along with the installation of new officers for 2016 and an auction to benefit local weatherization charities, Board President Deb Schling presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to fellow REALTOR Roy Farmer to honor his long career in the real estate business in the Midcoast. Roy retired this past fall after over 50 years as a broker. His dedication and commitment locally and to the industry remains unsurpassed. Courtesy photo

The Lincoln County Board of REALTORS and the American Red Cross recently combined to sponsor a blood drive at the Boothbay Region Elementary School in Boothbay Harbor. This first ever event at the school was very successful -- 43 pints donated -- and The Red Cross is hoping that having it in the schools will educate more children on the importance of giving blood.
The Lincoln County Board would like to thank the Red Cross, the school, all volunteers and especially all who gave the gift of life.
Local REALTORS will also be sponsoring another drive at the Great Salt Bay School in Damariscotta on February 4, 2016. We will look forward to another successful event!
