Dear Editor:

I have known Erik for a number of years. He is also a neighbor on Route 96. I see him doing his own yard work on a regular basis. He is very handy.

Of more importance, he is a leader in many ways. Recently the paper has shown us how he and friend have supported local student athletics.

That is also his field: young adults and athletics.

I also know him in our church, St Columba’s Episcopal Church. He is a leader in that church currently. When I was still on the vestry (That’s the board in an Episcopal Church), we had to find a new priest that the Bishop would agree to. When asked what is a criteria for a new priest, Erik said, “I want a priest that help me strive to be a better Christian. That is what is important!”

How many people would come up with that.
