Dear Editor:

May 1 is election day for Boothbay and we are writing to convey our support for Erik Bertelsen as he seeks a position on the Boothbay Board of Selectmen. Erik would come to the position with no agenda, with no local business connections, with knowing the importance of listening to all sides, and with the knowledge that Boothbay needs to look to the future regarding the long-term needs of its’ schools, attainable housing and the needs of seniors, while maintaining a strong economy and healthy environment.

Having known Erik and his wife, Abby Jones, for many years, we are confident that Erik would always listen to others and would work cooperatively keeping Boothbay’s rural charm while advancing the well-being of its residents. He is a well-qualified candidate worthy of our support, and we encourage you to consider Erik when you vote on May 1. We appreciate your consideration.
