Lisa Burnham and her flooring business Begin Again have moved down the road a piece after launching last fall. The new digs at 494 Wiscasset Road in Boothbay are a little more spacious allowing for a wider display of product samples and a few more lines of products.

Begin Again is rapidly becoming a family business. With sons Matthew and Sam attending Eastern Maine Community College for business management and electric, respectively, Burnham gets family backup when things get busy.

“Matthew sees what business is and works on keeping it going and building it up while Sam helps with everything else. It's really nice to have family join together.”

In the showroom, Burnham’s front-and-center products are the Schluter systems, tiling and setting materials and, as before, she offers luxury vinyl tile, planking and engineered and hardwood flooring. Along with an expansion of Daltile samples, new lines include Dubeau Flooring and Johnson Hardwood Flooring. Burnham is also carrying the Fabuwood and Forevermark cabinetry lines.

Burnham carries nothing that comes in rolls, like carpets and vinyls. “But everything else, I'm willing to work with anybody to find the products they need for their projects … You think, 'What can she offer in this tiny little place?' Well, I can offer everything because you just show me what you want and I can get it. I can get most brands people are looking for.”

Burnham is offering free air quality testing along with the free water quality testing she was offering before. The testing comes through Aerus Electrolux Company which Burnham has trained with and Matthew is training with.

Begin Again is now carrying ProKnee knee pads from a Whitefield company. Burnham said the custom custom made and fit knee pad is a must have for anyone in the construction business. “They're great for any industry, installation of roofing, flooring, tile, anything. They can be custom fit to the person … Dubeau just became a distributor for ProKnee and asked if I wanted to carry it. I said ‛Sure’ and I’m waiting for the first shipment within the next couple days.”

Burnham said she is thrilled with her new “forever home” for her business. “It's basically the same thing, but better and bigger … The location is great, the space is great. It's working out.”
