Dear Editor:

Thank you to Hannaford in Boothbay Harbor for their generosity. When you shop there this December, please buy a reusable grocery bag. For each bag sold, Hannaford is donating a dollar to the Boothbay Civic Association.

The past year, we have had fundraisers from the arts and crafts on the Common, Bet’s Fish Fry (which is going to be an annual event), individual donations, and our bottle bin (which is still at the Common but in a new location near the restrooms).

We have had many fundraisers over the years to help our community and now we are working to raise our total to one million dollars!

Our new project is raising money to paint the Boothbay Town Office. We raised money to build it and now it needs help to keep the Common area looking wonderful. We are also planning more big projects. 

The Fourth of July Celebration will be back in 2020. We need more donations of cans and bottles, as well as individual contributions to make it happen.
