Audubon presentation on monarch butterflies

The public is invited to attend a talk on Monarch butterflies from 3 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, at The Lincoln Home in Newcastle.
Audubon staff naturalist, Doug Hitchcox will give an informative and interactive talk on the Monarch butterfly, with a focus on the conservation issues and concerns surrounding this iconic North American species. Doug will discuss the Monarch life cycle and natural history, as well as the current challenges Monarchs face in Maine and beyond. The talk will also stress what the audience and public can do to help conserve Monarchs.
