If someone were to prove to you that $255,000,000 of Central Maine Power’s 2021 profits left Maine and the United States, to enrich Iberdrola — a Spanish multinational corporation whose largest shareholder is the Qatar Investment Authority, a non-transparent, sovereign-wealth fund controlled by the emir of Qatar to manage oil and natural gas surpluses — would you consider voting Yes on this November’s ballot initiative to replace CMP and Versant with our very own, consumer-owned utility, Pine Tree Power?
