The Boothbay Region Clean Drinking Water Initiative (CDWI) would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the great team at Conley's Garden Center for the generous use of their native plants for our educational display at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library's Earth Day event. Native plants can provide a filter and buffer area for runoff that comes from our homes and developed areas and prevent contaminants from entering waterways.
The Earth Day event was the CDWI's first public education event, and we appreciated all the good conversations. There was a lot of interest in plants and landscaping to beautify outdoor living spaces and protect the environment. We sincerely appreciate Conley's Garden Center's generosity and help in making this event a success.
