Celebrate the holiday season with the Boothbay Region Historical Society at our Annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held at the Historical Society’s location at 72 Oak Street, Boothbay Harbor. 

Join us for a festive day of vintage decorations, delicious treats, and lively conversation. Take a chance to win one of several exciting door prizes and basket raffles, including a Music-Themed Basket, a Breakfast Feast Basket, a Kids and Grandparents Basket, and a jolly Snowman Piñata filled with goodies. Our gift table will feature a selection of items for sale, including books, paperweights, and local history maps, ideal for the history buffs on your gift list. 

This special event is our way of saying “thank you” to the community. There is no charge for admission, and we invite everyone to come and enjoy the holiday cheer. Whether you have long-standing roots in the area or are new to the Boothbay Region, we’d love to hear your family stories or what drew you to this beautiful part of Maine. 

While you’re here, explore our exhibits, including the fascinating “Rice Brothers Collection” which highlights the history of the Rice Brothers Shipyard, and “A Look Back: 150 Years of Life in the Boothbay Region,” a deep dive into daily life in the area over the past century and a half.
