Writer/director Christophe Herreros of Paris, France will be filming a new short work, “After the Mist Clears” May 24-30 in various locations in the region. Herreros was here with a film crew in 2016 shooting “Return To Cabot Cove” based on the TV series “Murder She Wrote,” which was particularly popular in France.
His synopsis for “After the Mist Clears” is short and sweet: As the fog covers the town of Boothbay Harbor, a young man in redemption builds a new future. Herreros is clearly keeping details on the QT!
But now, on to this new project ... before the filming, there are supporting roles to be cast. Here’s what Herreros is looking for: Casey, the girlfriend of the lead character. She is around 30 years old; 3-4 lobstermen to portray themselves, really; people who catch lobster for a living. There is also need for 2 cowboys, one in his 20s and one in his 50s; 4-5 carpenters - all ages; and extras of all ages ... including 2 horses.
Interested in auditioning for a role? Herreros will be in the area May 7. Auditions will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, Thursday, May 13, Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15. Before the 7th, email the following: a brief video of and about yourself; photos/head shots, which date audition day and time would work best for you; your name, age, and contact info to firstname.lastname@example.org.
At press time he was still looking for a location to hold the auditions. If you have a space that could be used, email him at the above gmail address.
