A two-car accident occurred around noon on Friday, May 18 with one vehicle coming to a stop on the front lawn of the Boothbay Register office and the other on Union Street.

Staff at the Boothbay Register went out to be of assistance and called 911. The Boothbay Harbor Fire Department was first on the scene, including Fire Chief Nick Upham, followed by Officer Larry Brown of the Boothbay Harbor Police Department. The Boothbay Ambulance Service was also called to the scene.

Both cars were licensed out of state, Florida and Massachusetts. One person was taken by ambulance for medical attention.

Both cars had to be towed.
