Accident shuts down Route 27 in Boothbay

A section of Route 27 in Boothbay is shut down this morning due to a rollover accident reported at approximately 10:35 a.m., where a vehicle struck a utility pole.
Live wires are reportedly hanging in the roadway near 459 Wiscasset Road (Route 27).
Traffic is currently being rerouted around Hardwick Road and River Road while emergency personnel work.
