Accident at Boothbay Common, section of Route 27 closed

UPDATE, 5:07 p.m.: CMP has arrived at the scene. According to the scanner at the Boothbay Register, the sections of Route 27 that have been closed will remain so for “some time.”
Emergency personnel have responded to a call to the Boothbay Common. A small truck hit a utility pole near the Common. Personnel are waiting for Central Maine Power to arrive.
Route 27 has been closed south of the Russell House and from the war monument down to Lakeside Drive.
No wires were down, but the pole is low to the ground.
