Dear Editor:

I grew up in East Boothbay, and I am reluctantly writing today to say how glad I am that I no longer live there. The abysmal state in which Route 96 has been left, from the “big hills” to the traffic lights, is in my opinion unacceptable. My heart goes out to the residents of East Boothbay and to anyone else who must often travel that road. Your vehicles and your sanity must surely be suffering.
