2024 Boothbay region Memorial Day Parade schedule
As always, all Boothbay region veterans are invited to join the parades with the veteran detachment, which will be led by U.S.M.C. Barry Sherman. Attire can be civies or uniform. Please join us in honoring our fallen brothers and sisters. You can join the parade at any (or all) of the six locations. For those unable to march, the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce trolley will again be providing transport for those participating in the parades. The trolley will depart American Legion Post #36 at approximately 7:45 a.m., and will proceed to the first parade at Newagen. Followed by the Southport parades, the trolley will stop at St. Andrews Village to pick up veterans who wish to be part of the Boothbay Harbor parade. The Boothbay Region Community Band will once again be providing the moving music tribute and Taps, as well as drummers to keep our “troops” in step. Veterans should be prepared to march rain or shine. The band and other participants will make their own decision whether to participate independently.
