From Trip Advisor, Aug. 2014 trip:

“This was our 9th year sailing with Joe (Captain), his son, Michael and new First Mate, Nate. Our last day and final sail for the year was fantastic — perfect weather and great conversation. Captain Joe talked about the history of the schooner but let us all enjoy the peace and quiet of the sail itself. He does not go on and on about sights along the shore but is very knowledgeable if questions are asked. We sail with Captain Joe at least 3 or 4 times each year and so look forward to seeing him and his crew next year!! This is something no one should miss in Boothbay Harbor!”

Here’s one of many rave reviews on American Eagle’s website:

“A huge thanks for a wonderful time.  We can’t decide what was the best:  the singing, the sailing, or the culinary expertise in the galley. You are fortunate to have such a wonderful crew!”  —Ryan S., Missouri
