A Stroke of Art is the art lover’s dream. See artists in creating new works - outdoors - and have the opportunity to purchase one - or more - of the paintings. For a complete list of participants, visit the official Boothbay Harbor Fest website: www.boothbayharborfest.com.

Plein air painters will be out and about painting what they see at locations including on the 1,000-foot footbridge in a “quick draw” on Sept. 8 from noon to 2 p.m. If you missed the actual painting, check out the work at Andrews’ Harborside Restaurant at the end of the footbridge on the town side.

Many “Stroke of Art” artists will join members of the Oil Painters of America in their annual, national event, “The Great Paint Out,” at Grimes Cove at Ocean Point in East Boothbay, on Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
