Fourth of July 2013

Friday, July 5, 2013 - 09:02 am

The Boothbay Civic Association's annual Fourth of July celebration on the Boothbay Common drew a good crowd throughout the day. Temperatures in the high 80s and high humidity kept the crowd count down, but the line to the popular chicken barbecue at noon was again long, as diners waited patiently in the hot sun for the chicken and homemade pies. The Boothbay Fire Department's dunk tank had many willing volunteers and the music was enjoyed as participants strolled the grounds and shopped at the many arts and crafts tents.
