Dear Editor:

I don’t even know where to begin to express my family and my gratitude for the support we have gotten over the past couple of months. This benefit we had was a huge success and all of you are to thank.

I would like to start by saying thank you to all of the local businesses and people who donated to the auction, the people who made food for the benefit, all of the people who have sent cards to my mother, the Boothbay Fire Station for donating the space to us, the Boothbay Railway Village for coming forward and letting us borrow their chairs last minute, to Camden National Bank for setting up a Medical Fund, G & J Redemption for allowing people to donate their bottles towards my mother’s fund, the Boothbay Register for advertising the benefit, for all of the donations and support we have gotten this year, and to everybody else who made this possible.

It’s so great knowing that our community is able to come together when somebody is struggling; this benefit was proof. Mom has made it home from rehab. I would like to say another thank you to Deb and Jon Hodgdon who will be putting on another benefit for my Mom on May 27 at 9 p.m. at Herringbones Pub and Grill. The School Street Band will be playing, there will be drink specials, a 50/50 drawing and more.

We are truly thankful for everything everyone has done. I wish I could personally thank each and every one of you but there has been so much support that I have to do it via the newspaper.
