Dear Editor:

The town of Boothbay Harbor has received an extraordinary gift. Through the kindness and generosity of Henry and Kathryn Woods, the town recently accepted a donation of a vessel commonly used by law enforcement and first responders. This seaworthy craft is in excellent condition, has low engine hours and it will significantly increase our capabilities when responding to marine situations.

I have never been part of such an amazing gesture before. I find it hard to find the right words to adequately express our gratitude. On behalf of myself, the board of selectmen, Harbormaster Nick Upham and the entire community, I thank you so much for your tremendously generous gift. Nick will have a smile on his face for at least a year!
