Dear Editor:

We live in Central Maine and occasionally make it down to the Boothbay region for our “big” vacations. There are many things about the area that keep us coming back, and just this past week we were reminded once more of what makes this place special.

We would like to give a big, hearty thank you to a man named Les, who graciously and randomly gifted us a beautiful handcrafted cedar reindeer ornament for our Christmas tree. This sort of thing doesn’t happen everywhere, and is just one more good reason to keep coming back and enjoying this wonderful chunk of Maine.
