So many delights, so little time
Tick-tock! The White Rabbit is in a panic, he swears you’ll be late! There are only days left to snag your tickets for the most topsy-turvy evening of the summer: Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library’s Storybook Ball, Aug. 2.
This year, we tumble headfirst into Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland for a night filled with whimsy, wonder, and a few delightful surprises sure to charm even the Queen of Hearts. Our very own White Rabbit (a.k.a. the extraordinary Michael, pictured above…as the March Hare…and our very own Savannah Fields pictured above the White Rabbit) will guide us down the rabbit hole, beginning with a feast that practically shouts “EAT ME, DRINK ME!” Then, hold on to your teacups, the live auction will astound, with treasures like the crown jewel: a holiday weekend in New York City (airfare, hotel, and two tickets to the December 13 matinee of Hamilton, a $3,000 value).
But beware: gala tickets are disappearing fast, and the event will sell out. Don’t dawdle, click the red “Get Tickets” button on the Storybook Ball page to see the full lineup of live auction packages and secure your spot before time runs out.
Can’t join us in person? Fear not. Our online auction is brimming with curious delights: harbor cruises, shopping sprees, dining adventures, grand tea parties, pampering packages, and even a raffle for a late September weekend at a historic Ocean Point cottage and a Carefree Boat Club cruise for six! Even a drowsy dormouse wouldn’t sleep through that chance.
Step through the looking glass now: bbhlibrary.org. Grab your tickets, and prepare for an evening where nothing is quite as it seems.
