Savory Maine in Damariscotta announces its June music series featuring local musicians every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sylvia Tavares and guitarist Gary McCue will start things off June 2. Tavares is known for her classic folk and original music. On June 4 and 30, Elizabeth Starr, fluent in folk and Celtic music, Starr also performs her own songs.

Kathi Nordone returns with her mix of folk, country, inspirational, Gospel and original tunes on June 9, followed by an encore appearance by Tavares and McCueon the June 11.

On June 16 several members of the group Miner's Creek will play, followed on June 18 by the return of Kathi Nordone.

On Tuesday, June 23 Gary McCue will return as a solo performer, and will play, for the most part, his own compositions.

Banjo (including clawhammer/oldtime banjo) and and fiddle player Jeff Herbster returns after a multi-month absence on June 25. Herbster plays bluegrass and a mid 19th century style known as minstrel on a reproduction banjo of that period.
