Phyllis W. Raymond

Phyllis Webster Raymond, 71, formerly of Boothbay Harbor, died Feb. 9, 2015 in Scottsdale, Arizona after a five year battle with brain cancer.

She was born Oct. 2, 1943, a daughter to the late Col. Lawrence and Mildred Webster.

Phyllis was a graduate of Cony High School and attended Central Maine Beauty School. She was a longtime owner and operator of Shampoo Hair Salon in Augusta for over 45 years where she developed many customers and longtime friends.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 42 years, James A. Raymond; two children, Richard M. Demos Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, Carrian Gagne and her husband Luke of Winslow; three grandchildren, Miranda, Noah and Samuel Gagne; two brothers, Larry Webster and his wife Debbie of Whidbey Island, Washington, Harry Webster of Tampa, Florida; sister-in-law Juliet Morang and her husband Don of West Gardiner; nephew Ben Webster of Round Rock, Texas and niece Katie Webster and her son Jesse of Austin, Texas; cousin and special friend Mary Alice Thomas and her husband Keith of Alexandria, Virginia; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses who took care of Phyllis Raymond.

Phyllis will be laid to rest at a family ceremony at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta at a later date. The family and friends anticipate celebrating her life at every opportunity.
