The North Yarmouth Academy Panthers improved to 2-7 on the season with a 33-27 win over the visiting Boothbay Region Seahawks Tuesday, Jan. 6.

The game was close throughout but the Panthers got nine points from their leading scorer Daicey Speirs (14) in the fourth quarter as NYA outscored Boothbay 13-8 in the final eight minutes to secure the win. Alicia Fontana added 12 points for NYA.

Tatum French led Boothbay with 20 points.

Boothbay is now 4-4 on the season after their third straight loss.

The Seahawks are next scheduled to host Mt. Abram (7-2, second in Class D South) on Thursday, Jan. 6 at 6 p.m.
