Newagen Seaside Inn will host a Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours on Wednesday, June 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will take place at the inn, located on Newagen Colony Road at the southern tip of Southport Island.

The Newagen Seaside Inn, a member of Historic Hotels of America, has been welcoming guests to the region since 1816. Over the years, it has welcomed many distinguished guests, including Frank Sinatra, environmental activist and marine biologist Rachel Carson, and Maine governors.

It has played host to generations of Maine weddings and has been the destination for vacations, romantic get-aways and countless celebrations over the years. The inn has been under its current ownership since the 2001 season and has undergone several major renovations; 2015 has seen the addition of a majestic porte cochere, completely renovated bathrooms and four new junior suites.

The Business After Hours will feature a selection of Newagen cocktails, beer, wine and a sampling of appetizers from Executive Chef Fiona Dunlap’s 2015 menu. Guests will be invited to take a self-guided tour of the property and get a firsthand glimpse of the many renovations and upgrades. The Business After Hours are open to members and non-members and everyone from the business community is encouraged to participate.
