More hoop for BRHS seniors

Finn Harkins and Luke Morley have been chosen to participate on the Class C-D South McDonald’s Senior All-Star squad, as part of the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches/McDonald’s House Charities Weekend.

The Boothbay Region High School basketball players will team up with other Class C-D players on Saturday, March 9 to face the North C-D seniors in the annual contest at Newman Gymnasium, Husson University in Bangor. The game starts at 1 p.m.

Other members of the South C-D team include: Logan Timberlake, Dirigo HS; Braidan Welch, Forest Hills HS; Ben Nathan, Hall-Dale HS; Samuel Calder, Monmouth Academy, Cam Grey, Mt Abram HS; Payton Mitchell, Mt Abram HS; Nate Oney, North Yarmouth Academy; Wyatt Cassidy, Richmond HS; Wyatt Lilly, Telstar HS; and Nico Kirby, Waynflete School.

Tickets (for all four all-star games, awards, slam dunk contest and 3-point shooting contest) are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors (65 and older) and $5 for students. For more information, visit https://www.mabc1.org/index.php

All of the all-stars have been invited to the awards banquet on Friday, March 8 at the Kora Shrine Hall,1404 Broadway, Bangor.

Mountain Valley Conference Seniors game

On Thursday, March 7, Harkins, Morley and BRHS Lady Seahawk Meg Sledge have been chosen to represent BRHS in the annual Mountain Valley Conference Senior All-Star Games at Winthrop High School. The girls’ game starts at 6 p.m., followed by the boys’ game at 7:30 p.m.
