Luz Elena "Zalena" Razzeto Bliss, 73, died March 12, 2014, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Zalena was born in the town of Callao, Peru, on March 12, 1941, to the late Felicita and Carlos Razzeto. Zalena was the owner and founder of a successful residential and commercial cleaning and maintenance company in the city of Miami, Fla., where she resided with her family.

She married Edwin C. Bliss in September 19, 1992 and ever since, Edwin and Zalena would spend their summer time in Boothbay Harbor, where they later became permanent residents in 2002. She always loved the natural beauty and people of the region, and spend time visiting and introducing others to its wonderful destinations. She was passionate about simple things, such as animals, gardening and cooking. Through simple things such as these, she would experience joy and create some of her best memories.

Zalena is survived by her husband of 21 years, Edwin C. Bliss, of Miami, Fla.; three children and their spouses, Nora Segovia Reed and John Reed of Boothbay Harbor, Eduardo and Miriam Segovia of Houston Texas, and Ruben and Yvette Segovia, of Eustis, Fla.; stepdaughter, Dorothy Bliss of Miami, Fla. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Lorena Borjas Mancini and husband Stephen Mancini, Melissa Borjas, Joshua Reed, Gabriel and Elena Segovia, and Ryan and Remy Segovia.

A celebration of Zalena’s service will be held later in the spring.
