letter to the editor

The landslide is complete

Dear Editor:

What has gone: the herded bleating of a blown-up politically correct establishment; the haggard relics of tiresome, prune-faced feminism; the fraudulent special interests spawned by a sham civil liberties movement.

What has arrived: a politically clean president who will have a Congress to implement his agenda; a Department of Justice that can now actually investigate the vast and shadowy sludge left by a fleeing administration; a punch-drunk establishment media whose howling threats can now be shrugged off and even turned against them; and state governments that can work hand-in-hand with a president determined to reform American government and politics.

What is to come: fulfilled promises, such as non-activist Supreme Court appointees; rooted-out federal agencies illegally used to defend criminal leftists, and harass innocent conservatives; the creation of quality jobs by unleashing our country’s huge energy reserves; immigration reform driven principally by our national self-interest; a restored military that is wisely utilized; improved relations with Russia, which yearns to become a trustworthy ally of America rather than China; a reformed tax code that stimulates growth over stagnation; and much, much more.

Even if you don’t agree with the outcome, it was a most impressive night’s work by still-free American citizens everywhere, don’t you think?
